Residential Curtain Installation — Takoradi

The brief was a living room that felt calmer. The window was the best feature in the room and the largest source of the problem: unshaded afternoon sun made half the seating unusable.

Approach

We took the treatment to full height rather than stopping at the window head, so the eye reads one continuous vertical line from ceiling to floor. A concealed track keeps the hardware out of the composition. The stack was planned to sit clear of the glass so the room keeps its daylight when the curtains are open.

Product selections

• Heavier-weight curtain fabric in a warm neutral, chosen to hold a fold
• Blackout lining on the main pair to cut heat gain and afternoon glare
• Sheer inner layer on a second track for daytime privacy
• Concealed ceiling-fixed track, sized for the finished curtain weight
• Weighted hems, set to just clear the finished floor

Installation notes

Ceiling fixings were set into the slab rather than the plasterboard, brackets spaced to carry the weight of a lined pair, and the run levelled across the full width before the curtains were hung and dressed.
